Meeting Sadie

Have you ever had a feeling that something was exactly right and no matter what obstacles were in the way, it was going to happen? That's the way I felt about this dog when I first saw her on the Redlands Animal Shelter social media feed. 

Matted fur and all, I knew that this was the dog I had been looking for and that I needed to meet her soon. In addition to being adorable, she showed up at the shelter on my birthday - that had to be a sign, right? 

I tried to play it cool when I consulted the Mr. regarding a new addition to our family, I didn't want to seem like I was rushing into a new dog just because she looked cute on Facebook! Fortunately for me he has a very soft place in his heart for the Lhasa Apso breed (something I didn't realize until recently). Not one to jump the gun about anything he replied, "If you still feel the way you feel now about the dog when you meet her, you should adopt her." 

When I met Sadie she was very timid, she was shaking and wouldn't look at me. This made me love her more, I knew she was going to flourish in our home.
